Fingerprinting is only required ONCE from each volunteer and is maintained by our Human Resources department. The file will remain active and applicable the entire time your child attends John Adams Academy. However, in the event we receive a report from the Department of Justice that impacts or changes your legal standing to supervise children we maintain the right to request an updated LiveScan.
We realize that this requires your support, both in time and money, so we are making every effort to set up a process that will work easily and efficiently. In order to get fingerprinted, you will need to complete the following steps:
1. Pick up a pre-printed form (LiveScan) for each volunteer (and/or driver) from our academy office or print it from our JAA website. You will take this form with you to the Live Scan agency you select.
2. Call the LiveScan agency for an appointment. (See many options below.)
3. At your appointment time, go to the agency with cash or check (the amount is approximately $50), a driver’s license or I.D., and the LiveScan form.
4. Return a copy of the LiveScan form to the John Adams Academy office. Volunteers are asked to cover the cost of the fingerprinting.

Additional note: Those who drive scholars on field trips must submit driver forms, driver’s license, and insurance information annually. See the main office or your child's teacher for more details.
