Norman Gonzales currently serves as the Director of Outreach and Compliance for John Adams Academies.  Prior to joining the staff, Mr. Gonzales was a founding Board Member of John Adams Academy.   He joined as a founding member of the Board of Directors to ensure that children have access to an education that provides the tools for success with the ability and confidence to lead.  While serving on the board he was employed as the Director of Outreach for Congressman Tom McClintock, overseeing the field staff and ensuring accessibility for the people of the 4th Congressional District.

Experiencing the positive impact that John Adams Academy had on scholars and parents led Norman out of the world of politics and into education. He began working as the New School Development Manager for the California Charter Schools Association where he assisted groups with establishing new charter schools and growing existing charter schools throughout northern California.  He quickly realized that if he was going to start charter schools, he wanted them to be John Adams Academy schools.

Mr. Gonzales stepped down from the Board of Directors with the Academy and left his role at the Charter School Association to serve as the Dean of Operations overseeing all business functions of John Adams Academy.  With the creation of the Non-Profit Services Division (“NSD”) he took on the role of Director of Outreach and Compliance which includes Admissions & Enrollment as well as new school development.  He was integral in the approval and opening of John Adams Academy – Lincoln and John Adams Academy – El Dorado Hills.

Following many years working in Congress, State government, public relations, and the business sector, Mr. Gonzales understands that educating scholars in the principles of liberty and America's founding is critical to preserving those ideals for future generations.  Norman lives in Roseville, CA with his wife Susan and his two sons. Mr. Gonzales earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from California State University, Sacramento. He also holds an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from the College of the Desert.
